Another epic day in Cape Town today! The famous South Easter came into town and coming from Natal this stuff is crazy! But as a local threw out there it does clean things up nicely. We headed across to Cape Town to hopefully climb the mountain but with the cloth firmly in place we thought we would give it a skip until the wind changed.
So we headed across to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, which if you are into flowers and all things green this place is awesome! After a couple of hours here we moved onto the V&A waterfront for a quick walk and a bite to eat (great calamari!)
We then took a meander past Llandudno Beach and it’s insane how awesome this beach is. A bit too cold for swimming but crystal clear water and white soft sand. A quick walk on the rocks for some pics but perfect beach for chilling out!
Afterwards we headed back past Hout Bay, over Chapmins Peak (those okes were crazy to build this road!!) and then back to our camping area in Kommetjie…..the tent had buckled with the wind (and my idea of not using all the pegs) so operation fortify got into place. The tent is now like a fortress and lesson learnt about Cape Town!
Great ending to the day with an awesome braai and Mustard and Honey Sosaties marinaded overnight.
Remember it’s Always Braai O’clock!
