The wind finally died down at 6am this morning, the tent did get a battering but I am proud to say that it stood up to it last night with the extra ropes and pegs. Mich and I had a chilled out one today and just took a walk down to Kommetjie beach. We even braved the water for a swim and have to say it’s a bit too cold for me…..but I’ve seen most people have wet suits which looks like a wise idea!
In the afternoon we headed across to a spot between Hout bay and Camps Bay called Oudekraal. It’s run by SanParks and has an entry fee (free with a Wild Card which has saved us so much money already!) This place is honestly one of the best braai spots I’ve been to with views of the 12 Apostles and Lions Head. There are a couple of nice beaches to swim in and the braai areas are kept immaculately clean. Was great to catch up with an old friend who I haven’t seen in about 8 years (Perky awesome to see you bud!)
A slow drive back of Chapmins Peak and a nice chilled night camping and another epic Sunset!
Remember it’s always Braai O’clock!
